Tahda Ahtone

Tahda is an attorney and founder of JackRabbit Development LLC, a sustainable design company specializing in projects in Native communities. A member of the Navajo Nation, Tahda formed the firm after experiencing first-hand her tribe’s lack of electricity, water and housing. JackRabbit is a licensed architecture firm that assists those looking to build homes or community facilities. They also consult on economic development and health and wellbeing, rainwater harvesting and greywater, and net-zero and passive solar design in structures. Tahda has a background in civil law, helping business owners to structure and form their for profit and non-profit organizations. She focuses on weather creation and inter generational wealth transfer and educating people on the importance of life plans. She is a member of the Native American Bar Association and licensed to practice before the Colorado Supreme Court at Navajo Nation Supreme Court. She earned a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
